Museum trip to Hildesheim - "Islam in Europe. 1000-1250"
14 January 2023
Dear friends of the Museum for Islamic Art,
After the successful start of a members' excursion to Dresden, we would like to offer you another joint exhibition visit.
Until 12 February 2023, the Dommuseum in Hildesheim is hosting the exhibition "Islam in Europe. 1000-1250" with top-class exhibits from many important museums in Europe.
Programme for Saturday, 14 January 2023
The curator of the exhibition, Dr Felix Prinz, will give us a guided tour of the exhibition "Islam in Europe. 1000-1250".
Afterwards, we would have lunch together and can then round off the visit to Hildesheim with a guided tour of Hildesheim and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of St. Michael's Church.
Travel and costs
The journey should be organised by the participants themselves, e.g. by train from Berlin HBF at 8.29 am (the train also stops in Spandau), return from Hildesheim HBF at 5.36 pm.
The costs for the visit of the exhibition with the curator's tour as well as the city tour amount to 10-20 € depending on the number of participants.
As a maximum of 25 people can take part in the guided tours, registrations at email@example.com will be served on a first come, first served basis. Please register by 06 January 2023. Please transfer the price for the guided tours as soon as you have received a binding confirmation from us. We will inform you of the account number and costs.
We look forward to seeing you again and to many registrations.
