The Pergamonmuseum express its deepest condolences to those who lost their lives as a result of state violence in the context of the recent protests in Iran, and to their families. May their deaths not have been in vain. The time for a fundamental liberalization of politics and society is long overdue. A regime that terrorizes its own citizens has no legitimacy.

ما هم به نوبه ی خود به قربانیان و خانواده ی آنها در ایران تسلیت می گوییم و امیدواریم که جان آنها بیهوده از دست نرفته باشد. زمان تغییرات بنیادین سیاسی و اجتماعی در راستای آزادی فرارسیده است. رژیمی که از قدرت خود برای اعمال ترس و خشونت بر روی شهروندانش استفاده می کند، دیگر هیچ مشروعیتی ندارد.
