Call for donations: An extraordinary carpet for Berlin

A rare Petag carpet from the 1920s/30s will soon enrich the Berlin collection – if we purchase it together. Manufactured in Iran by the renowned Persian Carpet Company A.G. (Petag), this carpet is an exact replica of the famous piece once owned by Friedrich Sarre, the first director of the Museum of Islamic Art. The carpet now on offer was probably woven as a so-called ‘model carpet’ for further production – and is therefore particularly rare.
